Corporate sponsorship

One of our corporate sponsors has asked if they can send a cheque for the sponsorship, as using the Just Giving site is an administrative chore.

If they send the cheque to me personally, and then I donate to JG and include gift aid, is that better for everyone? I can then issue the sponsor with a personal receipt from me?

Is this how it works? or is there another way to do it?

They are sponsering YOU.
and give ye the dosh to help with the funding of the Rally.
YOU then find an spare £300 in yer bank and decide to donate the dosh to charity which qualifies for Gift Aid.

non biz cheques? get ther name and addy and ask them them if they want G/A and send it in with the cheque.
If any private cheques have been sent in then give them a G/A form and then send it to Peter.
28.2% is a lot to throw away.
